The Play's the Thing - Mansky

"what lies beneath"

I got to get in touch with my feminine side as I took on the role of Mansky from The Play Is The Thing directed by Lavina Jadwani for the St. Sebastian Players. This role was so much fun as the character was a playwright / producer along with his "partner" who was the more competent, stronger part of the team. Jeffrey McVann played my partner in work and play and in this scene he has challenged me to come up with an ending for the first act that leaves the audience excited for the second act. Jeff was a wonderful man who is no longer with us. He was a fun scene partner and encouraging of the choices I made. Likewise Lavina challenged me to push the envelope of my comfort and go farther, this was early in what has become an accredited career for her. The third actors name is Will but his last name escapes me now. All I can say about Will is he was a very realistic actor there was a scene where we tried to contain him from bursting in to the adjacent room and he nearly broke my back once or twice in trying to stop him.
